Rhino Carpet Takes on the 2026 Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge

Another year, another whole lot of mud! Carpet Court and Rhino are proud to once again support the Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge in 2026, New Zealand’s biggest mud run series for kids.

Since becoming a sponsor in 2023, we’ve loved being part of an event that encourages Kiwi kids to get outdoors, challenge themselves and have plenty of fun along the way. And while thousands of young competitors put themselves to the test on the course, Rhino carpet faces a pretty tough challenge of its own at the finish line.

Getting Kiwi Kids Active in 2026

Designed especially for primary and intermediate-aged children, the Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge gives kids the chance to swap the classroom for an action-packed outdoor adventure.

Courses are packed full of obstacles, with competitors tackling muddy trails, water crossings, climbing frames, tunnels, hurdles and plenty more along the way.

More than just a mud run, the challenge encourages kids to get moving, build confidence, spend time outdoors and experience the sense of achievement that comes from completing something challenging.

With events held around New Zealand, it’s also a great day out for schools, families and local communities.

Putting Rhino Carpet to the Ultimate Mud Test

There’s another challenge waiting once competitors reach the finish line.

At Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge events around the country, local Carpet Court teams are there with a piece of Rhino Original Collection carpet ready to be put to the test.

After tackling the course, hundreds of mud-covered kids run, walk and slide across the Rhino carpet. Mud, dirt, water and heavy foot traffic all become part of one very messy real-life demonstration of its performance.
