Central Kids Mill Crescent

“We are a sessional not for profit kindergarten under the umbrella of Central Kids. We have 54 children on our roll but a maximum of 40 children on our license each day as some children come on different days. We service a very multi cultural community. Our philosophy statement is that whanaungatanga/relationships are the heart of Mill Crescent and everyone who walks through the gates is welcome. We have the best team of teachers/kaiako, one has been here 25 years so that shows you it is the best place to be. We would love new flooring but it isn’t in our budget plans as we need to replace the bark in our playground and rotten sleepers which will use up all of our budget.

In our inside classroom we have old lino which has the original flooring at the kindergarten (I think) since it opened in the 1970’s. It is very well worn and beginning to rip in places due to the high wear and tear. Our big carpet mats could also be replaced as they are well worn. New flooring would prevent falls, the current flooring sometimes bubbles. It will make the inside environment more safe and to upgrade the environment to look more appealing for children and their whanau/families and perspective whanau.”

“On behalf of Central Kids Mill Crescent Kindergarten, we would like to thank you for this RhinoKids funding for carpet tiles for our office/whanau room sick bay area. The space looks amazing. Our children and families are very grateful. We have thanked you publicly at kindergarten and on our Facebook page. We appreciate your communication Wayne and team. It was lovely working with you.”

“We recently had the pleasure of refreshing the flooring at Central Kids Kindergarten in Matamata. when we first walked into the sick bay & office area we noticed the old and worn flooring which needed some attention. Now the transformation has created an inviting space for the staff & tamariki to enjoy and feel comfortable in.”
