Te Kohanga Reo o Te Arapeta Project

Te Kohanga Reo o Te Arapeta is a daycare centre in Panmure, Auckland taking care of 0-5 year olds. They needed new carpet in 12 of their classrooms. This year, Carpet Court helped them refurbish two of those classrooms.

There’s no doubt tamariki are hard on a carpet, muddy shoes, vomit, food, paint, crayons, glue you name it we’ve probably had it squished into one of our Kohanga reo classroom carpets at some point. So, you need something that’s truly going to stand up to the punishment long term.

This the first time Te Kohanga Reo O Te Arapeta has installed carpet tiles from Carpet Court Mt Wellington. We refurbished 2 of classrooms. Carpet Court has a great selection of different shades, colours, textures and types of carpet, Karlene and the team are incredibly helpful giving creative ways to combine practical hardwearing options with just a little fun and colour which younger tamariki enjoy.
Carpet Court have always been incredibly helpful, responsive, and understanding of our needs even when we have put them under tight times frames, changed our minds last minute or been a little demanding, they always respond quickly, efficiently, professionally and with a good nature.

We look forward to completing another 10 rooms with Karlene and the team of Carpet Court over this summer break.

It has been wonderful working with Te Kohanga Reo o Te Arapeta. Jean and Danielle are so inspiring and creative with the wonderful work they do at the centre with the children. It was exciting from beginning to end, as we watched the spaces come to life, filled with colour, creating a stimulating and comfortable new space for everyone. I am really excited to see what comes next for them and look forward to working together in the future.
