Beststart Kaiapoi

Beststart Kaiapoi has been part of the community for 15 years. We have 85 children per day, 5 class rooms and 3 playgrounds. Over the years we have supported many families. The teaching team are passionate, dedicated, caring and many of them have been at the centre
for over 8 years.

The under twos have outdoor/garage carpet under the veranda. This area also has drop down blinds to create an outdoor space in the winter. We often have 20+ children aged under two crawling, sitting and lying here. New flooring would mean we could stop using mats and blankets to cover the floor. It would look cleaner and overall much better.

Thank you to Carpet Court RhinoKids Flooring Fund. Our outdoor veranda space was worn out after 15 years of fun. Evidence of learning and play can be seen; such a play dough, slime, paint and more. Now completed and coming into winter was the perfect time to ensure that the new surface is thick, warm and ready for the children to explore. The team at Carpet Court Rangiora were professional and easy to work with. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity.

After reading the entrants last year the team and I voted on Beststart preschool in Kaiapoi to receive the RhinoKids Flooring Fund. Their flooring was old and in bad shape and definitely needed an upgrade. On meeting their Manager, Kylie, I worked out a quote to replace the outdoor carpet over and above what RhinoKids offered. The transformation was awesome and the install happened over one single day. It was a Friday and the kids had lots of fun watching the installers through the window. Feels good to be able to help out in our local community.
