Conifer Grove Kindergarten Project

Conifer Grove Kindergarten was established on 16th October 1993, making us almost 30 years old. This was driven by the community and families who felt there was a real need in the area. We have a great reputation for providing quality education and care for our children which brings children from the wider community as well as locally. However the family involvement has slowly waned and family donations have disappeared which has been a real challenge with making improvements to our kindergarten.

We would be so grateful for the funds to provide a carpet area for our mat time zone, allowing a softer, more comfortable space for whole group interactions, story time, games, quiet mindfulness, and birthday and graduations ceremonies. We would also like to carpet our family area to provide soft areas that mimic a home environment, as well as our block area to help with sound proofing.

Receiving this grant would make a huge difference to our centre, making it look better, making it feel better but most importantly allowing us to create spaces for our tamariki that allows and supports their play and wellbeing. The children’s wellbeing and happiness is the heart of everything we do, and they absolutely deserve the best possible centre we can provide. We have so much potential with our facilities and where we are situated but our committed teaching team feel that we could do so much with your help.

We would like to send a special thank you to Chloe and the team from Carpet Court Takanini for the beautiful mats installed this week. The new mats provide comfort, warmth and vibrancy to our indoor spaces for us all to enjoy, as we learn and play each day. Thank you RhinoKids Flooring Fund from everyone at Conifer Grove kindergarten.

It was great to meet the team at Conifer Grove Kindergarten, a very deserving recipient of our RhinoKids Flooring Fund. Their new mats look great and provide a space for the children to learn and relax in an inviting and warm environment, we are very happy with the outcome.
