Duntroon School Project

Duntroon School is a Year 0-8 full primary school. The school was first opened in 1879. We have modernised many of our spaces but can only do this with a limited budget from the Ministry of Education.

The library has had the same carpet for 30 years and is very old, tired and dusty. We would like a hard wearing, modern looking carpet for this room. The library is used every day and is the only space in the school that is in desperate need of a revamp. The space needs to be a usable one that children want to be in. We need the floor upgraded so children can feel like they can sit on the floor to read and work.

Our library carpet was installed in 1989. It was worn, old and becoming hard to keep clean and maintain. It had never been replaced as it wasn’t a classroom space and wasn’t seen as a priority. Now we have modern, durable and easy to maintain carpet in our school library. This space has already become more inviting for everyone – as a school library should be. Thanks so much RhinoKids!!

We chose Duntroon School library as our recipient of this year’s RhinoKids Flooring Fund. It was our pleasure to turn this outdated room into a modern space where the children can come in and relax with new, improved flooring and that they can feel comfortable reading on the floor.
