Kind Hands
About Us
Kind Hands was set up as a health-care facility in a purpose-built cottage offering respite care for children who are aged under 6 years, have a disability and/or are medically fragile and/or are technology dependent. Now offering both Early Childhood Education and Respite Care, we have nurses, ECE teachers and caregivers working alongside each other to offer the best possible outcomes for these children.
Why Did We Apply?
Kind Hands are renovating an existing building on their property, but it has been completely stripped, a large extension has been added, new roof, new cladding, covered decks etc. The interior of the house has been guttered and completely rebuilt inside. The flooring in the existing building was carpet over wood. We will be using the wooden flooring but all the new extension requires flooring. The office space, meeting room and sensor room will be carpeted and the new bathroom will have linoleum.
How Would Winning Help Us?
If Kind Hands were successful in receiving funds from the RhinoKids Flooring Fund, this will enable us to put more funds into purchasing the specialised play equipment and resources for our new centre. All funds would be very gratefully appreciated.
